Musical Notes

"A gentleman is someone who knows how to play the accordian, but doesn't."

Describing the Harpsichord: "Like two skeletons copulating on a corrugated tin roof."
-Thomas Beecham

Since I was 17 I've played the guitar and sang. I taught myself piano as well, using it much like the guitar, as a backup to my voice.

If the Blown-eyed Blodgers don't mind a git-picking girl, I'm bringing my Ovation and my dearest pirate escort, the Jolly Roger, to Helen, Georgia.

I guess there should be more guitar in this photo.

I have trouble with framing a shot.

I luuuv the two quotes. I'm self-taught on piano and guitar as well, but I rarely play anymore.

By popular demand.

Well, they've acutally paid me to play and sing, so I guess I can claim pro status. But I'm terribly shy about singing alone.

I sang backup on a jazz CD once. Heaven!

Have I told you how much your writing rocks, btw? I read it aloud to the Jolly Roger and he just laughs his pirate laugh!

See you (and your Ovation) in Helen. You can hop right in with the Elderly Brothers -- a Peter, Paul and Mary thing. We could take turns being Mary.

Hey Jimbo! Thanks for stopping by.

Musically, I can follow wherever you lead, mister.

They shot is great. Skippy will love the cleavage!
I'm jealous. I wanna go to a blogmeet!

Cleavage? Oh, that?

I hadn't noticed.

That makes my husband a "gentleman"? Whoda thunk? Guess I should be more appreciative of his virtues!

Joan of Argghh! said...

Peggy, LOL!

My dad used to play, but he gave it for a nice Wurlitzer organ. Still, he could always be coaxed into the accordian. Yeesh.

Terrible photo. There's some damn guitar gettin' in the way.

I'm gonna be self-taught on guitar any day now. Just as soon as I find a few years of free time.

Ha! If you've seen the muse in my portfolio, then you know me and my guitar are inseparble!

(I haven't played it in two years, now. sheesh.)

Dang, a guitar shot + tanned boobage. That picture almost rivals the famous Farrah Faucet poster of the seventies.

Excellent. I've spent many nights at the Chalet Kristy myself.
Helen is a great place to pick.
And...for more C.S. Perry-style musical stylings visit the "my web page" link at Rooked.

Right On.

P.S. Yes. I'll be posting this picture very soon.
P.P.S. My word verification is "unfret."
