Next Stop: Washington, D.C.

I must be crazy, but I'm going to buy some galoshes and head north!

I want to see the Smithsonian, especially the Flight museum, and the National Gallery of Art, not a buncha politicians.

I've never seen snow. What are the odds...

I went when I was still in the Marines. We were all over the place. Unfortunately, we were pretty much running through the Smithsonian, but it was still cool.

Some emotionally powerful sights to be seen. The changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and The Wall were made goosebumps stand jump up on my arms. The Korean War Memorial was up there, too.

We went over the 96 for Easter. Beautiful. All of the cherry blossoms were doing as blossoms do, and blossoming.

I lived in the Baltimore burbs for a couple years while I was 7 and 8... my parents never took us to DC. *sigh*

Snow in DC - well, this would be the time of year when you "might" see it... Have a blast!

Snow. VW told me it snowed in her little town yesterday morning. Did it snow next door in MY little town? Hells no.

The Flight Museum. Gods I envy you, woman. To see the Wright Flier...or at least an exact replica made with the leftover canvas and wood. *weep*

Wow. This gave me pause to wonder when I first saw snow. It wasn't until I was about twelve, maybe, when we moved to Idaho for a year.

It was the first snow that winter. It was very surreal, and exciting.

Have fun...
