Funny. Cuz it's true.

Pam has really done it, now.

She's kicked off a meme, as far as I'm concerned, and I just had to try my hand at it. Nothing fancy, and easy enough to render in MSPaint if you don't have Photoshop skills:

See how easy it is?

It would be fun to do a series for Democrats as well, since I'm all about equality:

Can't leave out the Indys:

Okay. I'm over it now.

****

What day is today? Thursday? Thursday has been scientifically determined to be the most productive day of the week. No, really.

I guess that hot tub isn't going to come and find me, so I'd better go find it.

Later, Slackers.

"Productive?" What the hell is that supposed to mean? *shaking my head* Wow, you really need a margarita.

Too true to be funny. But I am laughing.

Man, I have to hand it to you. It takes guts to put that first bumpersticker on you vehicle after Cheney/Bush charged the Iraq war tab to our grandchildren.

Hate to break it to you, but the Republicans dumped that whole "fiscal responsibility" image, that "we're the responsible adults" thing, courtesy of the Bush administration.

Or were you just being sarcastic?

Anyone who thinks that Republicans are fiscally responsible is seriously delusional. Clinton had surpluses, Dubya had record deficits that led to two TRILLION dollars being added to the national debt.

How about this idea for a bumper sticker:

Republican - Delusional, and lovin' it!

No, I don't think the Republican party has been fiscally responsible. No, I don't think the Democratic party has been fiscally responsible.

I do think the only smart thing, and I mean ONLY smart thing Clinton did was leave the economy he inherited ALONE, as part of his overall strategy of going along with the Contract With America put forth by the Pubbies.

But I think history will show that Clinton was not the first Black president, but he was the only Republican president since Reagan and up to this point. Fiscally.

It still falls to Republicans, the class of folks who aren't gov't employees or on the dole, to pay for it all the income redistribution that the Liberals are craving. Government workers add welfare recipients add nothing to the GDP. That's a lot of folks to support. And they are almost uniquely Democrat.

[Clinton] "was the only Republican president since Reagan and up to this point. Fiscally."

Which perfectly supports the point made in comments here that "Republican" is no longer synonymous with "fiscally responsible", contrary to the opinion of the proprietor of this blog.

"It still falls to Republicans, the class of folks who aren't gov't employees or on the dole, to pay for it all the income redistribution that the Liberals are craving. Do you have any facts at all to back that up?

Joe, for a moment there, I thought you were a good commenter, but then I looked at the way you picked and chose my words, ignored others, projected onto me a standard boilerplate of words that sound officious and played mash-up in that potato head of yours.

But hey, don't believe me, and then ask me to do your work for you. Go find out for yourself the platform of the Government Employees' Union, their agenda, and their purpose.

Just like no one ever wants to believe the media is biased, when they consistently are Democrats by a 4:1 margin. It behooves them to keep stirring shit up, because it makes them money. They also, are dependent children and wouldn't know how to actually work and create something other than controversy. But go ahead and believe them, thinking they have no monetary or vested interest in keeping their world the world of Liberalism. Go on believing that they are selfless demigods magically appointed to bring Light to your benighted world.

Feh.

Joan,

"for a moment there, I thought you were a good commenter, but then I looked at the way you picked and chose my words, ignored others, projected onto me a standard boilerplate of words that sound officious and played mash-up in that potato head of yours"

Projecting much?

Is there anything you wish to claim I took out of context?

Also, you seem to be inventing some positions that I did not take ("go ahead and believe them, thinking they have no monetary or vested interest in keeping their world the world of Liberalism. Go on believing that they are selfless demigods magically appointed to bring Light to your benighted world"). And since you're so frantically trying to change the subject from your claims that Republicans are "the class of folks who aren't gov't employees or on the dole" and that government workers and welfare recipients are almost uniquely Democrats, I take it you have no facts to back that up. Mere bluster isn't going to do it, and all you achieve by refusing to back up your claims with facts, is that you'll look silly.

Wow what an informed and bitter waste of time. I feel sorry for you for being so pessimistic about the people who make up our great country.

Thanks, Larry McDonald user from Denver CO! You know so much about what I know, without knowing me!

*mwuah!*

You're adorable when you're trying to be brave.

I'm only pessimistic about the people who manipulate about 49% of the good people of our country into believing that commentary is fact. It's devilish and evil what the press is doing, regardless of what anyone believes. The Truth is real, knowable, and unchanging.
