Tony Snow has died.

A fine man has passed from this life to the next:

"Tony did his job with more flair than almost any press secretary before him," said William McGurn, Bush's former chief speechwriter. "He loved the give-and-take. But that was possible only because Tony was a man of substance, who had real beliefs and principles that he was more than able to defend."

Deep sympathies for all of his loved ones. He will be missed.

Why can't our politicians be as likeable and enthusiastic as Tony Snow? I would have so loved to see this man run for an office. Public speaking? No problem!

It's cliche to say he lit up a room, but it's true - he did.
