Percocet. Stat!

Home. Hurts like a sumbitch. Imagine getting stabbed three times, and then sliced open after the laproscopic stabbings failed to perform. Oh, and then imagine having a Moulinex blender-stick just shred your innards. All finished up with a spa-like seaweed wrap for the stumpy parts inside, so they don't adhere. And beautiful technicolor pictures of my innards! Blergh.

I even have a picture of my liver, which was just a bonus shot, a side trip, if you will. I'm sure I've seen a miraculous manifestation of Captain Morgan's visage in that photo. Argghh!

And now I'm held together with super-glue. Seriously.

Thanks for all your well-wishes, thoughts and prayers. Thankee thankee! I just wanted ya'll to know that blogging will be... weird.

We want to see your innards. Do they match your outards?

If they do, they must be lovely.

Ouch - I'm sorry to hear the laproscopy didn't work! Having been stabbed, sliced and rearranged a time or two myself, I do hope the drugs work, and that you feel better very, very soon. The one good thing about surgery is that usually, you need it, and afterward (often much, much later ;) you're glad it was done. So I hope, most of all, that it fixed whatever needed fixed, and that once you heal up you'll be good to go for a very long time.

Yay weird posts! You hang in there, darlin', and if you need anything just holler. And keep in mind that any request for a cup of crushed ice or some cherry Jell-O will be of necessity delayed by some six to eight hours while I drive there, but still, right?

Plus the cool thing with that skin-bond cement stuff is that you don't get the weird zipper-scar that stitches leave behind.

Weirder than usual? ;)

Good the see you; glad you came out of it with some good drugs, too.

Glad you're back and alive (um... you're not a zombie, are you?). Get better quickly.

Personally, I think those zipper scars are cool.

Yep. They can stick you back together like a model airplane now. When my oldest brother was 5, he had open heart surgery. Mind you this was in the 60's. As a kid, he had the most impressive zipper scar running right up the middle of his sternum. Wonder if he's still got his zipper. Actually, I don't want to think about it ...

Get well soon, Joan!

Here is something you sent me not too long ago...

"Well! What scary surprise and happy relief! (There's a six-word memoir for this incident!)"

So, tell me about your happy relief, please!
