Remember Your Very First, Crisp, Dollar Bill?

Not the first one you earned, just the first one you ever had. What were you, about 5 years old then? Remember the dreams you dreamed at that moment, understanding the power of it?

I only had change in my piggy bank until my grandmother sent me a dollar in a birthday card. It was awesome.

I like money.

I wasn't born to it. The USD was less than R0.50 when I grew up and then the commies got hold of my currency and 1 USD is now R10.00, I survived and prospered, and now the commies have gotten hold of your currency, and you know what, I will survive and prosper, I suspect that you will do the same.

My oldest brother had open heart surgery when he was five. He was showered with cards and gifts from relatives and friends. That meant money as well, though I can't figure out why. I recall he had this ginormous plastic piggy bank ... a big yellow pig with a handle on top so he could lug it around like a suitcase. Its name, "Pepe", was painted in red on its forehead. There were other red designs on its sides. "Pepe" was the envy of the rest of us kids. I had a darling dainty porcelain piggy with flowers on it ... but for sheer capitalist piggism, "Pepe" had it beat to hell!
