Newfound Respect and Awe

How Helen Keller learned to speak. What a practical and intelligent teacher she had, too. And the payoff at the end? An absolutely beaming smile!

Obstacles of Unusual Size? I don't think they exist:

Helen Keller was blind, deaf, and dumb. And a progressive. How does that happen? Oh, yeah.

I don't care if she was an effin' Communist, it takes nothing away from her teacher's skills or her desire to evolve from her hellish isolation.

Okay. I'll continue to transport my 127 special needs children every day, and hide from them the fact I do not care for Helen Keller, lest they break down on me.

Heh. I don't know of anyone who cares for HK's politics. Nor do I believe she had much impact in her political leanings. Her story and inspiration has always been seen on a more personal level.
