December 21: The Longest Night Begins

How cruelly apt-- to the point I think it was inspired, deliberate-- to sacrifice our children's future at the altar of Moloch on the Solstice.

Short day, small men.

Thus our long night begins. We basked in the twilight glow of the Republic thinking it a permanent state of affairs, strong enough to withstand apathy and mediocre morality. Alas, "the night cometh when no man worketh" may seem a bit presumptuous at this juncture to hold aloft as a political prophecy instead of a spiritual warning, but the Heavens never got the memo about that so-called Separation.

Meanwhile, didn't you wonder how Bill Ayers' re-education camps were going to be instituted? Healthcare scofflaws will be too many to number and put in conventional prisons. See you there!

Did you think those Obama-Nation videos of para-military kids in camouflage were an aberration?

Did you think he had planned anything less than enslavement of an entire nation as his revenge for being rejected by his own father? Doesn't that sound like a scene out of Batman? I don't even worry about being over-the-top anymore. I can't top the stunning apex of the man's sinister aspirations.

Ah well, in the dark it's best to remember that even our heroes will seem diminished, shadowy, conflicted. It was easier to fight in the Light of our nation's founding. It'll be a mite more uncertain now that our long night has begun.

I prefer: "It's always darkest before the dawn."

I believe that there will be a great, robust awakening across this land...even in those states where the whorish senators sold their votes to bring exceptions and pork back home.

Deep breaths. Think positive.

It's true. Don't the bad guys always tell you what they're going to do to you, right before they do it to you? "Spread the wealth" He said it like nothing.

Anyway, also one dark night just like this, in the midst of the great city, when all attention was on the city and its king, right under their noses, hidden in their midst was born the True King, to the poorest of the poor.
Probably looked pretty hopeless at the time.

The solstice vote was no accident, although the yeas were too endarkened to see the puppet strings.

Re-reading your Christmas tales a couple extra times helped dispel the doom. The Story ain't over yet.

I'm just waiting for someone to rip Obama's mask off so that we can finally confirm that we did, in fact, elect Hugo Chavez president of the United States.
