A More Efficient Way to Kill the Internet: Summer.

Summer is soooo lame.

And hot.

I'm working my ass off at work. I could put in 80 hours this week and not be caught up. My assistant doesn't start for another two weeks.

Working my ass off at home as I have company coming on Thursday, staying through the weekend.

And tomorrow the Jolly Roger has a birthday.

And the next day we commiserate 31 years together. Uh. . . celebrate. Yeah. That's the word.

Too hot to use too many words.

That's all for now.

Take some time to commiserate properly, turn up the music, slow dance a while, take a bath together...okay, I gotta go find my hubby now.

Yes, he has put up with me far longer than was necessary! He is a patient and good man. The best man I know.

Wow, Happy Birthday to the JR -- mine is Saturday -- which makes him four days older than me -- we won't check the years. That might tell a different story.

I'm seriously considering just moving sheets and pillows on to my couch, then closing off the bedroom so the air conditioner can do it's job on less space.

Well, what can I say? Thanks all, for the good wishes. Especially to my bride, the best part of me.

Need an assistant? I could use a job right now.

And yes, to quote Good Morning Vietnam, it's HOT. It's DAMNED HOT!

Happy anniversary, Joan! (And wish your husband a "happy birthday" as well. :) This sounds like a week to try out a few new restaurants.

Joan,

Don't know the Jolly Roger, but Happy B-day to him anyway.

31 years of wedded commiseration, hey?

I'll tell you something. I'm 18 years into my second go round, and my Lovely Melis and I both agree that being married is hard work (commiseration), but hard work yeilds tangible benefits, and an exceptional sense of personal satisfaction for both parties. Congrats, and may your days be long together.
